Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and stress reduction technique that
often results in healing. It is over 100 years old and is done in
hospitals, clinics, and private studios all over the world. Reiki means,
"Universally Guided Life Force Energy." It works by increasing the
Chi, or Life Force Energy of the recipient. The energy is channeled
into the body of the recipient through the hands of the practitioner.
The experience is gentle, relaxing, and non-invasive. It is done fully
clothed and involves light touch. Reiki can also be done over the
body if touch is not advised (as in burn victims).
Many people describe Reiki energy as a warm, tingly, glowing feeling,
accompanied by deep relaxation and feelings of regeneration, peace,
and joy. Although many people have immediate results, some require
1- 3 sessions to experience improvement in their mood and condition.
This is because long-term blockages might take time to be removed.
With regular Reiki care, most people report feeling better, more
stable, and less stressed. Pain levels decrease and the need for
medications is lessened.

Reiki heals mental, emotional, and physical conditions in many
people. As it aligns and unblocks the chakra system, it creates
optimal energy flow throughout the body and aura, resulting in pain
relief, feelings of calmness and regeneration, and increased immunity
to illness.
Almost any condition can benefit from Reiki energy. Many people find
that stress and anxiety levels decrease dramatically when they have
regular Reiki sessions, or learn to treat themselves with Reiki.
Auto-immune conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma,
and the like respond quite well to Reiki therapy, as do clinical
depression, addictions, and compulsive behaviors. Reiki is excellent
self-care, even if you don't have a challenging condition. It creates
balance and tranquility so that health and happiness can be more
easily maintained.
